Stéphane Galland & The Rhythm Hunters integrate rhythmic principles from different parts of the world into a very personal language. Test your ears for polyphonic, groovy and trance-like rhythms from Africa, mathematically complex constructions from India and irregular pulses from the Balkans. Pure energy!
As a follow-up to the equally extraordinary (the mystery of) Kem, Galland wants this band to explore different approaches to rhythm and integrate them into a fluid musical discourse. This requires extensive and collective work so that the entire group of (young) musicians becomes familiar with new rhythmic concepts that at first glance seem unusual and complex. A challenge they mastered with flying colors on their debut album (2024, Challenge Records). Let the « rhythm hunt » begin.
